NFL

The celebrating in the NFL is ridiculous. Have you ever flicked on the tube, and immediately after a tackle you see a fat lineman celebrating even though their team is down by thirty points? Or a cornerback will make a routine tackle but he has to get up run down the field twenty yards and make some crazy hand gesture to tell the entire world that he made a routine play. I can understand if you make a truly great play, or a tense stop on fourth and inches, but if pro athletes celebrate even routine play they make, its a little aggravating...I cannot even watch a Dallas game anymore, because even if the other team scores a touchdown they flash the camera to Terrell Owns, and how he feels about what the other team did. The media gives these players so much attention, it's ridiculous. Jim Ingraham pretty much summed it up for me in an article he wrote describing how he should "raise the roof" and "bring out the disco ball" for every correct punctuation and capitalization he made. This ridiculous celebrating has got to stop, and the game should be more about winning or losing, not about each player for themself.
